It's been a while since I posted anything here, and now the first thing I post is less than great news.
I will be mostly offline for between one and two weeks, due to my hard drive in my Powerbook dying.
I am currently trying to recover any important data off of it before I send it in to Apple for repair. I seem to have gotten my email file, which is the MOST critical, as it contains registration information for many pieces of software that I have registered. I should also have my bookmarks, personal documents folders, and other stuff from my desktop recovered as well.
I'll find out when I get home from work tonight how the data recovery is going. I'm hoping that my HDD will hold together enough to pull the data that I need off of it!
So, until I get my laptop back from Apple, I may not be able to get to my regular email account. I don't know if I *WANT* to see how big my junk mail folder will have gotten in that amount of time!
I am able to check my Gmail box, so if you have that address and need to get in touch with me, use that one for the time being.
At least I opted for the Applecare plan on this laptop, so the HDD repair is covered. Also, as I understand it, Apple will also give the entire laptop a once-over, just to make sure the HDD isn't the only thing going out on it.
